Check out this list of gifts for dad!
Father’s Day is quickly approaching and you probably want to show your dad all of your appreciation. Now, we know how difficult it can be to shop for dad sometimes. However, here is a list of gifts you can make yourself and some that are ready to give upon arrival. Check out these ideas to get your creative juices going!
Dad’s Trail Mix
If your dad is one to pick all of the candy out of the trail mix, this jar will make it easier for him to enjoy this snack. All you need for this gift idea is a refillable jar and some of his favorite candy and popcorn. Whether it be chocolate or fruity candy, fill that jar right up with his favorites. You can pop some popcorn or buy it pre-made and add that to the mix as well. The sweet candy and salty popcorn will complement each other well. Additionally, this DIY gift idea is absolutely customizable to what your dad enjoys eating. For a final touch, you can label the jar by cutting out a piece of black construction paper and using a white chalk marker to write a funny saying. For example, you can label the jar, “Pop’s Trail Mix” or “Just for Pop” and add a can of his favorite soda to complement the pun. Here is a jar with an area to label that would be great for this project:

Griller’s Dream Gift Basket
For this gift, we are bringing all of the best parts of grilling to dad. You are going to need a bottle of his favorite barbecue sauce, some brand new grilling tools and spices to season everything he grills. Next, you will want a basket to hold all of these goodies and a fabric plaid table cover to add a little bit of color to the gift. After you gather all of the materials, the only thing left to do is assemble the basket. Place the table cover inside the basket and then the other items on top to create an impressive display for dad. We’ve found a table cover that would look great with this idea:
Dad Joke Book
This gift idea is for when he runs out of solid material at family gatherings. While it may take some time to fill up the book, this is something he can come back to long after Father’s Day. You could even leave some pages for him to save funny material for later. All you need is a plain journal and something to write with. Then, fill up the book with as many corny jokes as you can think of to make him laugh. The best part about this gift is that you can add inside family jokes in the mix to make this book more personal. Then, you need to label the front of the book as, “The Ultimate Dad Jokes Book” or something similar. Here is a blank book that you could use to get started:
Kraft Cover Blank 100g Full Wood Paper Sketch Book
180 DEGREE OPENING
112 Sheets of Paper
This gift idea is for the dads who love to cook. You can buy a plain apron at any craft store and grab some fabric paint and stamps while you are there as well. Next, think about what you want the apron to say. You can go with, “World’s Best Dad” or something more funny. Then, add your design to the apron and use the stamps to add more elements to the design. Last, let the design dry and you are ready to give! Here is a plain apron that would be great for this project:
Beer for Every Year
This gift idea is funny and something he can enjoy for a while (depending on your age). You will have to be 21 years or older to assemble this gift idea. The idea is to gather one beer for every year of your age because your dad has been there for each year of your life. If your age is a multiple of the number six, you be able to easily gather the drinks and give him a funny card to explain. If not, you might have to take some time to think about how to arrange the drinks. Either way, this is such a fun idea!
Orrrrr if you want to simply purchase him a ready-to-give gift…
